Sarah Kuffner

Soprano
Sarah Kuffner was born in Plauen in March 1984. She studied singing at the Mainz Music Academy.
The ultimate impulse to choose opera singing was received by the soprano Nicola Beller Carbone and the mezzo-soprano Janina Baechle.
Already at the age of 19 during her studies she became a member of the “Young Ensemble” at the Staatstheater Mainz, where she performed in Vivaldi's Juditha triumphans, in Puccini's Il trittico and in the world premiere NO PLACE: NOWHERE by Anno Schreier.
Since December 2007 Sarah Kuffner has been engaged at the Theater Bielefeld. In the current season she made her debut as Desdemona in Verdi's Otello and Fricka in Rheingold by R. Wagner. Since February 2015, Sarah Kuffner is working as a lecturer for stage presence and pre-screening training at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen.
